The Taliban government’s Ministry of Defense in Afghanistan said its forces had carried out retaliatory attacks on locations in the southeast of the country “at several points across the imaginary Durand Line” from where attacks on Afghanistan had been organized.

“In several points across the [Durand] Line from the southeast of the country, the hideouts and centers of the evil elements and their supporters, from which attacks were being organized in Afghanistan, were targeted in retaliation,” Taliban Defense Ministry spokesman Inayatullah Khawarizmi told the BBC.

Some other reports mention clashes in the border area and casualties among Pakistani forces.
